Equipment
- Cones/Markers for 40x30 area and two 10-yard end zones
- 2 Small goals
- Football(s)
Setup
- Area: 40x30 yard area with two 10-yard end zones marked at each end
- Goals: One small goal centred on each end line
- Team Red: 4 red outfield players start in the central zone
- Team Red GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned in their team's 10-yard end zone
- Team Blue: 4 blue outfield players start in the central zone
- Team Blue GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned in their team's 10-yard end zone
- Coach: 1 grey coach positioned at the halfway line of the central zone with the ball, feeding it to the goalkeepers
- Equipment: Cones/markers outlining the 40x30 area and the two 10-yard end zones, 2 small goals on each end line, footballs with the coach
Instructions
- Players utilize goalkeepers to maintain possession and initiate attacks.
- Players cannot enter their own defensive zone.
- If the ball exits behind the opposition’s goal or is collected by the goalkeeper, attackers return to the central zone.
- Teams work on building plays while using supporting movement and passing.
Coaching Points
- Communicate effectively with teammates.
- Maintain good support angles and distances.
- Keep your head up for awareness of options.
- Make quick, confident passes with accuracy and timing.
- Use body shape to open up passing lanes.
- Develop composure in tight spaces.
- Encourage patient build-up and possession play.

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce time for decision making by limiting touches.
2. Add a neutral player to create a numerical advantage for the opposition.
3. Increase the field size to demand more running and stamina.
Make it easier:
1. Allow players to enter their own defensive zone.
2. Remove the end zone restrictions.
3. Permit two players to act as neutral players in the middle zone.
