Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Balls (one per pair)
  • Cones (two per line of players)
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area
  2. Group: 2 black players paired up, lined up side by side across one edge of the area facing two cones placed in front of them
  3. Equipment: 1 ball per pair for passing, plus 2 cones positioned in front of each pair's line with a ball balanced on top of each cone
Instructions
  1. The first player from each pair passes their ball to knock the ball off the cone.
  2. Whether successful or not, the player retrieves their ball and returns for their partner's turn.
  3. Continue until both balls are knocked off the cones, competing against other pairs.
Coaching Points
  • Encourage players consistently.
  • Maintain spatial awareness within the area.
  • Develop close control when dribbling or passing.
  • Use different parts of the foot effectively.
  • Adjust ball speed to suit the situation.
  • Emphasize enjoyment and engagement.
  • Ensure age-appropriate activities.
  • Prioritize player involvement and participation.
  • Let the game facilitate learning and decision-making.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase the distance between players and cones.
2. Reduce the playing area to demand more precision.
Make it easier:
1. Decrease the distance between players and cones.
2. Use larger balls on cones to make targets easier to hit.
3. Allow players to stand closer to the target cones.
