Equipment
  • Cones
  • Bibs
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area with cones lined along one side
  2. Team Red: 1 red outfield player lined up opposite the cones, facing the cone area
  3. Team Blue: 1 blue outfield player lined up opposite the cones, next to Team Red's line
  4. Equipment: Cones spaced across one side of the 20x20 area, with a bib hidden underneath a few of the cones
Instructions
  1. The first player runs to a cone and flips it.
  2. If a bib is found, the player takes the bib back to their line, leaving the cone overturned.
  3. If no bib is found, leave the cone overturned and run back.
  4. The next player in line goes.
  5. The team with the most bibs wins.
Coaching Points
  • Encourage constant player engagement and motivation.
  • Emphasize spatial awareness within the grid.
  • Focus on player enjoyment and making the session fun.
  • Guide less, let the game teach naturally.
  • Ensure every player participates and contributes.
  • Develop a sense of teamwork through competitive play.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase the playing area to add a physical challenge.
2. Reduce the number of bibs under cones for a higher difficulty in finding them.
Make it easier:
1. Decrease the size of the playing area to enhance success rates.
2. Increase the number of bibs hidden for a higher likelihood of finding them.
3. Allow players to flip two cones on their turn to increase scoring chances.
