- Cones for gates
- Boundary cones
Setup
- Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
- Group: 1 player starts inside the area with a ball, spaced evenly with no congestion if additional players join
- Equipment: Balls for each player, boundary cones marking the 20x20 yard area, additional cones set up as multiple gates spread evenly throughout the area
Instructions
- Players dribble through all gates, experimenting with different skills.
- Use the sole to roll the ball through gates.
- Tap the top of the ball while moving forward through a gate.
- Reverse through gates, maintaining control.
- Alternate taps between both feet while moving through gates.
- Perform a scissors move to pass through gates.
- Encourage creativity—try various tricks through gates.
- Execute a turn at each gate using both feet.
- Dribble with the ball lifted off the ground without hands.
- Practice kick-ups while passing through gates.
- Complete figure eights around cones.
Coaching Points
- Maintain close control over the ball.
- Make quick decisions on dribbling direction.
- Use a good first touch to control the ball.
- Keep the head up to see space and avoid collisions.
- Display a positive attitude while executing techniques.
- Focus on accelerating into open space.
- Bend knees for better balance and control.
- Use both feet effectively.
- Select and execute techniques suited to each situation.

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce size of gates to increase difficulty.
2. Introduce time limits for completing challenges.
3. Add defender to create pressure during dribbling.
Make it easier:
1. Increase width of gates.
2. Allow walking pace to focus on technique.
3. Reduce number of gates to simplify routes.
