- Cones
- Soccer balls

Setup
- Area: 60x45 yard area marked with cones
- Goals: One goal centred on one end line
- Team Blue: 3 blue outfield players start lined up on the baseline opposite the goal
- Team Red: 2 red outfield players start inside the area, with one red player starting with the ball at his feet
- Equipment: Cones marking the perimeter of the 60x45 yard area, soccer balls, one goal positioned at the end of the area opposite the attackers
Instructions
- Defender plays the ball to any attacker on the baseline.
- Attackers engage in a 3v2 scenario aiming to score.
- Limit attackers to five passes before shooting.
- Defenders reposition as the ball travels.
- Reset and repeat once the ball goes out of play.
Coaching Points
- Encourage communication among players.
- Ensure proper support angles and distances.
- Promote a positive, goal-oriented mindset.
- Stress the importance of a quality first touch.
- Emphasize keeping heads up for awareness.
- Reinforce quick, confident passing.
- Focus on pass accuracy, timing, and disguise.
- Instruct players to move and support quickly.
- Encourage fluid movement and decision-making.
- Highlight realistic defending to challenge attackers.
- Teach passing execution and weight.
- Guide players on when to release the pass.
- Train players to exploit overload situations.
- Develop support for effective passing paths.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the number of allowed passes from five to three.
2. Add an additional defender to increase pressure.
3. Restrict the attackers' movement area.
Make it easier:
1. Allow for an unlimited number of passes.
2. Start with only one defender.
3. Use a larger area to provide more space for attackers.
