Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for marking the 25x35 yard area
  • Small goals at each end
  • Soccer balls
Setup
  1. Area: 25x35 yard area marked with cones
  2. Goals: One small goal centred on each end line
  3. Team Red: 4 red outfield players start spaced evenly across their own half
  4. Team Blue: 4 blue outfield players start spaced evenly across their own half
  5. Neutral: 2 black bounce players, one positioned on each end line outside the playing area near each goal
  6. Equipment: Cones marking the 25x35 yard area, small goals at each end, soccer balls
Instructions
  1. Teams play 4v4, aiming to score in the opposing goal.
  2. To score, teams must perform a one-two pass with one of the bounce players.
  3. Bounce players can move along the end line but must remain outside the playing area.
  4. Encourage teams to communicate and find effective angles for pass and movement.
Coaching Points
  • Encourage continuous communication among players.
  • Emphasize good angles and distances for support.
  • Ensure early decision-making both on and off the ball.
  • Keep heads up to maintain spatial awareness.
  • Promote forward play whenever possible.
  • Focus on pass quality, including accuracy, timing, and disguise.
  • Teach appropriate pass selection and technique.
  • Stress body positioning for optimal play.
  • Motivate players to move and create space effectively.
  • Highlight attacking principles: width, depth, penetration, and mobility.
  • Provide corrective feedback on passing and receiving techniques.

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the playing area to increase difficulty.
2. Limit the time allowed for completing a one-two pass.
3. Allow bounce players to only use one touch.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the playing area to create more space.
2. Allow bounce players to use unlimited touches.
3. Remove the requirement for a one-two pass before scoring.
