Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Balls
  • Cones for marking area and squares
Setup
  1. Area: 30x30 yard area marked with cones
  2. Team Red: 1 red outfield player starts inside the area as a defender/neutral
  3. Team Blue: 1 blue outfield player starts inside the area as the attacker, receiving the first feed from the coach
  4. Neutral: 2 black target players positioned centrally, one between each pair of opposing corner scoring squares
  5. Coach: 1 grey coach positioned on the edge of the area with a ball to feed into the attacking team
  6. Equipment: Cones marking the 30x30 yard area boundary plus 4 additional cones marking a scoring square in each corner
Instructions
  1. Coach feeds the ball to the attacking team.
  2. Attacking team aims to pass into a scoring square, where a target player must move to receive.
  3. Target player enters a scoring square as the ball is passed to score for their team.
  4. If successful, ball returns to the attacking team to score in a different square.
  5. Defenders aim to intercept or delay play.
  6. Target players continuously rotate roles for even practice exposure.

  • Focus on forward passing when possible
  • Ensure pass quality with accuracy, timing, and disguise

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the size of scoring squares for increased difficulty.
2. Introduce a time limit for scoring.
3. Increase the number of defenders.
Make it easier:
1. Enlarge the scoring squares.
2. Allow target players to remain stationary until receiving a pass.
3. Reduce the number of defenders.
