Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • - 20x20 yard practice area
  • - One ball per player
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area
  2. Group: 1 player spaced evenly within the area, each with a ball
  3. Equipment: cones marking the corners of the 20x20 yard area
Instructions
  1. Players stop the ball with the sole of one foot.
  2. Perform a 180-degree spin and use the opposite foot to complete a 360-degree turn.
  3. Continue in the original direction with the ball.
  4. Follow skill acquisition stages: static practice, increased touch speed, combining moves, and game-like scenarios.
Coaching Points
  • Maintain acceleration and close control.
  • Use disguise and keep your head up.
  • Stay positive and fast in execution.
  • Time the move correctly.
  • Keep knees slightly bent.
  • Increase move fluency and speed with practice.
  • Master various ball manipulation techniques.
  • Foster comfort in 1v1 scenarios.
  • Enhance spatial awareness during the move.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase the speed of execution.
2. Add defenders to simulate pressure.
Make it easier:
1. Practice with a stationary ball.
2. Use only the dominant foot initially.
