Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for marking the grid
  • Balls for each player
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard grid marked with cones, adjustable based on player count
  2. Group: 4 players lined up along one edge of the grid, each with a ball
  3. Neutral: 1 black crab player starting in the center of the grid
  4. Equipment: cones marking the corners and edges of the 20x20 yard grid
Instructions
  1. Players dribble from one side to the opposite without getting tagged by the crab.
  2. If tagged, they become an additional crab.
  3. Crabs aim to intercept balls and tag dribblers.
  4. The last player with ball control wins.
Coaching Points
  • Encourage players to keep their heads up to spot crabs.
  • Use small touches for better ball control.
  • Change speed and direction to avoid crabs.
  • Crabs should communicate and collaborate.
  • Stay alert and anticipate dribblers' moves.
  • Make quick decisions near edges.
  • Promote fair play and encouragement.
  • Ensure understanding of rules.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the grid size to increase difficulty.
2. Allow crabs to use their feet.
3. Increase the number of crabs initially.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the grid size to give dribblers more space.
2. Limit crabs to using only one hand.
3. Add more dribblers to decrease individual pressure.
